 What they had wasn’t pretty; sometimes he had to admit, it was even
damned ugly. Doyle was a scrappy bastard, his moods as changeable as the
fucking weather. And that was just how the sex was too. Doyle could be
tender and gentle, but sometimes, god sometimes, it was like being taken
by a whirlwind, hard and fast and swept up with battering force. Bodie was
equally capable of harshness and anger. Their relationship, off and even
on the job wasn’t easy, but with Doyle, in bed or out, Bodie was the
closest to happy as he had ever been.
